On the occasion of the International Remembrance Day of the Holocaust 2022, MOHA Research Center presents the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Center’s exhibition SHOAH – How was it Humanly possible? at the Mohammed Ali’s Museum in Kavala. The exhibition deals with major historical aspects of the Holocaust, beginning with Jewish life in pre-Holocaust Europe and ending with the liberation of Nazi concentration and extermination camps across the continent and the remarkable return to life of the survivors. The panels feature explanatory texts, interspersed with personal stories of the victims, quotes, original photographs and images of relevant artefacts. Nearly 1,500 Greek Jews from Kavala were killed in the Treblinka concentration camp.The action takes and within the frame of the Greek Presidency of the IHRA 2022.
